Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore in the U.S. but have had a weird wanderlust to live in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.

Colleen Gleason (aka Colleen Cambridge, C.M. Gleason, and Alex Mandon) is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling and award-winning author who can’t seem to decide what type of book to write…so she writes a lot of different genres!
So far, Colleen has written everything from vampire hunters to dystopian romance, to steampunk, historical romance, and mysteries with a supernatural flair or a historical setting. One element, however, that appears in all of her stories, is that of partnership…whether it be professional, romantic, or both.
All of Colleen’s books feature strong heroines experiencing fast-paced adventures, danger, mystery, and of course, romance. But at the core of each story is the belief that every woman deserves a partner who accepts her for her strengths as well as her weaknesses—and vice versa.
Colleen lives in the midwest United States with her family and two dogs, and is always working on her next book.
Colleen's book is in the Witches and Vampires Collector's Box.

Award-winning and USA Today-bestselling author of magic-filled adventures with a snarky talking cat, Lydia Sherrer thrives on creating stories you love to love, and hate to leave. She is the author of the bestselling Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus Universe featuring several series, which have sold close to a million copies world-wide.
Lydia grew up in rural Kentucky and was thoroughly corrupted by a deep love for its rolling countryside, in spite of all the mosquitoes and hay-fever. Lydia’s parents instilled in her a craving for literature early on, and later regretted it as they had to wrestle books away from her at the dinner table and confiscate all her flashlights she used to read books under the covers. Despite their best efforts, they never managed to break her of the habit and Lydia is still reading under the covers today.
Instead of becoming a marine biologist or a spy for the CIA (her childhood dreams), Lydia decided to do something much more exciting and dangerous: write books for a living. She subsists on liberal amounts of dark chocolate and tea, and hates sleep because it keeps her from writing (though she needs it because she has kids to wrangle). Due to the tireless efforts of her game-designer husband and her feline overlords, she remains sane and even occasionally remembers to leave the house.
Lydia's book is part of the Familiar Spirits Collector's Box.

I have been a maker for as long as I can remember. As a child, my sister and I spent countless hours crafting mixed-media creations and entering local coloring contests. When we weren’t busy with crayons and markers, we were weaving colorful embroidery floss into our hair or experimenting with latch hook kits. My passion for art and creativity continued through my school years and into college, where I took a part-time job at an arts and crafts store. There, I discovered my love for fiber arts and taught myself to knit, sparking a lifelong journey with yarn and handmade creations.
In 2018, after the birth of my second child, I found renewed inspiration and immersed myself in the knitting community. Dreaming of creating heirloom, one-of-a-kind pieces, I fell in love with the beauty of hand-dyed yarn. With my family’s support, I launched Huck & Rae Fiber Studio in 2019, specializing in small-batch, hand-dyed yarn. After years of preparation, I opened my Etsy shop in May 2021, sharing artistically crafted yarn designed to inspire and connect with fellow makers. In addition to my yarn business, I am a mother to 3 beautiful children and a small flock of backyard hens in Colorado Springs, CO.
Megan is creating yarn for both the Familiar Spirits and the Witches and Vampire's Collector's boxes.

Owner and dyer for Red Door Fibre Studio, Kate lives in St. Louis, MO with her husband Thomas and their dog, Hobie (anyone seen Across the Spiderverse?). She thrives in cold-weather because layers exist, so dyeing yarn in her garage in the humid, Midwest summer heat is a little out of her wheelhouse but she's making the best of it. You can often find her being shushed by those with her in public (her voice carries, ok?) and responding to Instagram comments in all caps with a Diet Coke in hand.
Her friends describe her as "having zero chill but also being super laid back" so we aren't really sure how that works and neither are they. She's a Enneagram 8, Aquarius Sun, INFJ who loves watching Studio Ghibli films when she needs a pick-me-up and practically lives in a good bodysuit.
Red Door Fibre Studio was born out of a need for more. More connection. More intentional creating. More of what we love in the world. Kate, owner and dyer, felt as if there was part of her own little knitting world that lacked that feeling of slowing down and making something she loved, not just something she knew how.

Her collections are based on different types of media: movies, video games, tv shows, illustrations, etc. We stand firm in our belief that not one work of art is the same without the other. Movies are fun, sure, but fan-art is where we all relate with each other. Music is great, but dance evokes emotion like no other. And dyeing yarn is unique, but made even more so in the hands of fiber artists. Art cannot exist without other art, so go make some.
Kate will be creating yarn for both the Familiar Spirits and Faeries Dreams Collector's Boxes.

Hi and welcome to MakerWool, based in Colorado, USA! I'm Dawn, the founder and creator behind our independent, hand-dyed yarns.
My fiber arts journey began in college, when my Mom taught me to crochet. Soon after, I designed my first blanket, playing with colors and stitches. I am happy to say that we still use that blanket today (thanks JoAnn's acrylic yarn!) Knitting and designing soon captured my heart, inspiring a life-long love of self-teaching and the designing 25+ unique patterns.
Recently, as I knit through a scrappy mitered square blanket in an array of purples, I longed for more color variety. I then dedicated myself to the art of dyeing yarn, discovering the joy of combining my own colors, textures and patterns.
Dawn will be hand dying yarn for the Faerie Dreams Collector's Box.

Don't you hate spending lots of money and time on a project with hand dyed yarn, only to realize at the end that it looks like yarn barf? ME TOO! That's why I started experimenting until I came up with dye techniques that WORK! My skeins help you create projects that look as gorgeous all knit up (& crocheted up & woven up) as they do in the skein!
Treasure Goddess Yarn is owned by me, Christine Long-Derks. I'm the head yarn pirate and I get by with a lot of help from my friends! I dye intense, saturated tonal colors on luxury yarn bases that take your breath away. I create yarn that lets you enjoy the process of creating as much as you love your finished items.

My logo is a Pirate Sheep and all my colorway names are normally pirate/ocean/mermaid related! Why a pirate sheep? Pirates sailed the seven seas searching the finest luxuries and having adventures. I sail the seven seas (of the internet and local fiber farms) to find the best fiber treasures. Who wouldn't want to hang out with a pirate sheep and grab some YARRRRNNNIE booty for themselves too? YARRRRNNN!
All yarns are hand dyed by me in a big red barn on my 10 acre homestead just outside Spring Hill, Kansas. We open up the barn studio and have Yarn Parties each year! People come from all over the US to hang out and knit, crochet, shop, eat, drink and Yarn Party! We also host workshops in person and online.
Christine will be making yarn for both the Witches and Vampires and Dragon Hoard Collector's Boxes.

Sarah and Dylan are the dyers behind Little Squirrel Yarn, a small indie-dyer based in Loveland, Colorado. We create small batches of exquisite colors as well as design and produce fun accessories to bring a little whimsy to your crafting.
Always drawn to creative endeavors, Sarah studied photography at Colorado State University, where she earned her B.F.A. It was during her time at college that her Aunt Carol taught her to knit and she became enamored with the craft. Little did she know it would later become such a major force in her life.
After graduating, Sarah spent eight years sharing her love of art as a high school teacher. While rewarding, the work left little time for knitting, although she crammed in as much stitching as possible during breaks. It was during one such break that she discovered her local yarn shop was hiring and leapt at the opportunity. This led her to a vibrant new community and a deeper dive into the world of fiber. Immersed in this creative environment, her knitting skills flourished, her knowledge of yarn grew, and she was introduced to the captivating world of hand-dyed yarns.
By spring of 2021, Sarah felt a pull towards a new creative outlet. An Instagram post by an indie dyer sparked interest in the dye process itself. Armed with a beginner's dye kit and lots of encouragement from Dylan, she embarked on her yarn dyeing journey. The precision and structure of the process, combined with the artistry of mixing colors, immediately resonated with her. After starting with tonals, she gradually began exploring variegated and speckled colorways.
Passionately curious about everything, Dylan soon found his way into the studio and onto team Little Squirrel. Self-appointed official namer of yarns (though Sarah maintains veto power as needed), Dylan loves to plot zany dye strategies, suggest wild color combinations, and creates all of the stitch markers.
When she's not pottering about in the dye studio, you can find her knitting (especially socks!), curled up with a good book, or heaping adoration on her three cats.
Sarah will be creating yarn for both the Dragon Hoard and Witches and Vampires Collector's Boxes.

As a busy educator, principal, and mom, I was always looking for easy ways to relax in the evenings. I learned to knit as a child but was re-introduced as an adult. Knitting became my go-to way to wind down each evening, especially once my children left home.
My enjoyment for knitting grew, and I began working with different fibers. It didn’t take very long for me to realize that what I really liked to work with were the luxury yarns. I fell in love with silk blends especially, so I decided to try my hand at dyeing—and naively hoped to save money!
Once I retired in 2019, my experience with dyeing grew. I developed a love for the challenge of creating new and cohesive colorways. The process of creating the different colorways changes each time I’m dyeing. Sometimes it’s a picture that spoke to me, an idea about a collection, or just wondering what would happen if…. A year later, in 2020, Red Door Fibers opened its “doors!”
My love for super soft, luxury fiber has become my brand. The mission at Red Door Fibers is to create hand-dyed luxury at affordable prices. Everyone should be able to create with luxury yarn without breaking the bank.
Donna will be creating yarn for the Faerie Dreams Collector's Box.

I am a librarian and craftswoman living at 10,200 ft in beautiful Leadville, Colorado. I turn out small batches of naturally dyed yarns in my much abused kitchen. I have fallen in love with the versatility of natural dyes.
I inherited a love of making and fibers from my mother, who was an incredibly talented seamstress, my grandmother, and my sister (can you inherit something from a sibling??). Over the course of my life, I have turned that inheritance into making jewelry, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and now dyeing. Like my mother, I also love the feel of beautiful textiles and just the right shade of blue or pink can bring tears to eyes.
I work only with natural fibers: merino, alpaca, silk, linen; and sometimes a combination of these! I do not work with rayon, bamboo, or superwash fibers. While these are natural fibers, they go through extensive processing that requires a lot of water and is not sustainable.
I am a proud Mountain and Plains Fibershed producer! For more information about how I use Colorado-grown wool, read about my Colorado Pure yarn line!
Brena will be creating yarn for both the Dragon Hoard and Familiar Spirits Collector's Boxes.
